One of the pioneers of modern-day streetwear, Nigo has shaped the path and inspired many within the fashion industry. After leaving BAPE, the Japanese designer created HUMAN MADE, a brand that many consider being the successor to A Bathing Ape. While the Three Stripes still collabs with his original brand, his partnership through HUMAN MADE continues with their upcoming take on the adidas Adimatic.
Gaining a cult-like following in Japan, the adidas Adimatic was revived from the dead at the beginning of 2022 with a slew of original colorways. HUMAN MADE elevates the humble skateboarding silhouette by dressing it in a premium suede across the upper. Wrapping around the toe is a suede mudguard, reaching all the way back to the heel and passing the oversized Three Stripes branding. More suede covers the rest of the sneaker, tongue included. As for laces, large flat laces with HUMAN MADE’s favorite phrase, “Gears For Futuristic Teenagers”, come written across both sets included in the packaging. Back on the heel, the HM heart logo is embroidered in a tonal shade across all three colorways. Sockliner and insole switch up the color scheme, dressed in white with left and right shoe indicators stamped atop the insoles. Rounding out the look is a rubber midsole and rubber outsole combo.
All three colorways of the HUMAN MADE x adidas Adimatic are set to release on July 27th, 2022 through adidas Confirmed, and select retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men's sizing, the retail price is $110 . For up-to-date release info regarding this upcoming HUMAN MADE collab and more, keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app.
