Working for ASICS on their SportStyle line, Kiko Kostadinov has ascended to the upper echelon of the fashion world in his own right through his eponymous label that mainly focuses on menswear. With the help of Japanese fashion label HYSTERIC GLAMOUR, Kostadinov is launching his first foray into womenswear, though a secret three-way collaboration on a brand new silhouette with his employers at ASICS has finally been revealed by the man himself.
Coming in low-top form, this yet-to-be-named ASICS model combines textiles, faux snakeskin leather, and mesh panels to create a loafer-like sneaker that brings an unorthodox lacing system and tongue into the mix. A half-tongue is covered by a snake-like lace design that sits atop the large ASICS logo in silver and pink while the underlay seen throughout the design comes in a flannel-like mixture of greys and tans. More silver and pink hits come courtesy of the heel's large faux snakeskin design that hosts co-branded HYSTERIC GLAMOUR and Kiko Kostadinov text. Underfoot is where things get even wilder as a gel-like glossy pink midsole featuring geometric designs is paired with a tonal outsole.
The HYSTERIC GLAMOR x Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS collaboration is set to release on November 8th, 2022 through Kiko Kostadinov's website. Releasing in women’s sizing, the retail price is TBA.
