Hysteric Glamour, a Japanese fashion label, has consistently drawn inspiration from Americana, melding '60s counterculture and punk aesthetics into its designs. This approach has cultivated a unique identity for the brand, resonating with a global audience that appreciates the fusion of these influences. In its latest venture, Hysteric Glamour collaborates with Vans, a brand synonymous with skate culture and self-expression, to reimagine the classic Old Skool silhouette.
The Hysteric Glamour x Vans Old Skool See No Evil retains the original silhouette's iconic black and white color scheme but introduces a bold, punk-inspired graphic that encapsulates the collaboration's theme. The upper, constructed from durable nubuck and canvas, is a canvas for the distinctive red graphic featuring a woman with devil horns covering her eyes alongside the collaborators' names. The phrase See No Evil spelled out in vibrant red on the heel, adds a provocative touch to the design, reinforcing the motif's presence. The sneaker is completed with a classic white midsole and semi-translucent outsole, hosting the same graphic as the upper right and a Circle Girl logo on the left.
The Hysteric Glamour x Vans Old Skool See No Evil will release in Japan on February 26, 2024, through Safari Lounge online, though a wider release has not yet been confirmed. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $117. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
