Sportswear labels like adidas are constantly looking for collaborators to bring unique design languages to their classic silhouettes and even with the recent struggles at The Three Stripes their partnerships are only evergrowing. On top of the continuation of their Gucci and Marimekko partnerships, the brand is looking to constant collaborator Invincible (and a new face with retailer Dayz) to bring us a new, yet old take on the adidas Campus 80s.
While previously collaborating with Invincible on the silhouette last year, the inclusion of Dayz brings with it a look back to the past with the two colorways of the Invincible x Dayz x adidas Campus 80s featuring tweed construction across their uppers. Taking on a neutral appearance, both in gender and color palette, the silhouettes feature a two-tone tweed in black/white across the “Black” and “White” colorways with black shades appearing on the heel tab and sockliner for each. Along the midfoot and lacing system we see the titular shades for each respective colorway take over while the heel features both Invincible and Dayz branding split between the left and right sneaker respectively. More adidas branding lands on the insole while the design of each sneaker is complete with a creamy Campus 80 midsole and outsole.
The Invincible x Dayz x adidas Campus 80s Pack is set to release on March 18th, 2023 through Invincible, Dayz, adidas, and select retailers online and in-store (though the “White” colorway will be exclusive to Invincible and Dayz). Releasing in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at approx $160 USD (priced at $4,890 NTD locally).
