Ever since it was leaked in late 2021, the hype has been real for J. Balvin’s upcoming Air Jordan 2 Retro. A follow-up collab to his Air Jordan 1 Retro High released in 2020, it will be the second pair the “Prince of Reggaeton” has cooked up with Jordan Brand. While we have to wait until October for that pair to drop, another colorway of J. Balvin’s Air Jordan 2 Retro design has surfaced.
While the pair heading to retail features a blue-based design, giving up summer vibes, this new pair is the opposite. Sporting a sea green-like design, the cloudy sky design shadowed by the darker tone, reminiscent of grey days instead of sunny ones. Everything else remains the same between both J. Balvin x Air Jordan 2 Retros, outside of the colorway. However, if you prefer the green pair to the blue pair, we have some bad news for you. Only the blue-based pair will be releasing, the green-based pair is limited to friends and family of Jordan Brand and J. Balvin.
As this is a friends and family edition, the J. Balvin x Air Jordan 2 Retro Green is not set to release at retail (unfortunately). It will more than likely remain unreleased, made exclusively for friends and family of J. Balvin and Jordan Brand. If that changes, we will let you know.
