It's rare to see a sneaker from Jordan Brand receive high praise from sneakerheads that isn't an Air Jordan model. Outside of some of the original Team Jordans and a few others, most die-hards scoff at the thought of anything that isn't numbered. Well, JB looked to make no excuses when they unveiled the Air Jordan 2/3. First seen on the feet of the former vice president of footwear and global GM at Jordan Brand, the Jordan 2/3 is a mashup of classic Air Jordan's 2 and 3. Combining the sleek look of the AJ 2, sitting atop the Air-cushioned tooling of the AJ 3, this hybrid is a match made in heaven.
While the AJ 2 has been placed back in the vault, the Air Jordan 2/3 has been a staple in the footwear scene since April. As we near the end of the year, Jordan Brand has a few more colorways of the Air Jordan 2/3 planned for us, including a women's exclusive known as White Orchid. Similar to the women's Air Jordan 2 Retro Low released in 2005, this pair comes in a white, orchid, cement grey, and sail colorway. A white-based leather upper with textured side panels provides a clean canvas for this Air Jordan 2/3. Orchid pink accents give a nice pop of subtle color without overdoing it. An aged, sail-colored midsole offers a vintage vibe, while a cement grey solid rubber outsole completes the look.
The Air Jordan 2/3 White Orchid W releases in October 2024 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, retail is set at $160.
