While the hype for the Air Jordan 2 did not last as long as expected, Jordan Brand didn't kill the silhouette completely. Lucky for us, Jordan Brand gave the AJ 2 a limited run and then took it off the shelves. While pairs can be had for under retail, fans of Peter Moore and Bruce Kilgore-designed silhouette should be happy they can stock up on pairs. While the traditional AJ 2 has come and gone, the shoe isn't completely missing. Initially seen on the feet of former VP of Jordan Brand Gentry Humphrey, the Air Jordan 2/3 hybrid made its retail debut in early 2024.
The Air Jordan 2/3 features the classic look of the Air Jordan 2 and pairs it with the tooling and cushioning of the Air Jordan 3. This mash-up of silhouettes makes for an even more comfortable version of the Air Jordan 2 Low, with a sleeker look that fits perfectly. With White Varsity Red and White Black pairs already released and White Uni Blue Midnight Navy on the way in November, another clean colorway is on the horizon for Fall 2024: White Cement.
The Air Jordan 2/3 White Cement comes in a clean white, cement grey, and sail colorway. Similar in design to the Air Jordan 2 Retro Cement Grey released in 2023, this pair sports a white-based leather upper with cement grey accents throughout. An aged, sail-colored AJ 3-tooled midsole with visible Air cushioning sits atop a cement grey solid rubber outsole to complete the look.
The Air Jordan 2/3 White Cement will release on July 20, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s and gradeschool sizing, retail is set at $160 and $120, respectively.
