One of the hottest collaborators in the fashion world, the Facebook page turned artistic collective JJJJound continues to turn heads with minimalist approaches to the groups various partners. Rising in popularity due to their work with New Balance, Justin Saunders and co. previously worked with one of the most legendary streetwear brands, BAPE, on a simplistic pair of Bape Stas earlier in 2022, however, the work between the two is not finished as the official JJJJound Instagram account teased a second capsule between the Montreal-based studio and BAPE.
Like the first JJJJound x A Bathing Ape Bape Sta, the pair comes covered entirely in white leather with accenting navy hits appearing on branding details and via the sockliner. Typical Bape Sta motifs remains as the toebox comes perforated, stitching comes in a tonal shade to match the leather panels, and the iconic “Bape Sta” and star logos stay in their normal locations. While we don’t have photos of the heel as of this writing, the first collab between the two saw the heel’s branding get replaced with “JJJJound” text so expect the same to happen here. Underfoot sits a white Bape Sta midsole and a Navy rubber outsole. Special packaging is also included as a blue Bape ABC camo covers the cardboard box and also features “JJJJound” branding on the sidewalls.
The JJJJound x A Bathing Ape Bape Sta White Navy is set to release on January 7th, 2023 through A Bathing Ape and JJJJound online and in-store. Releasing in men's sizing, the retail price is set at ¥30,800 (approx $230 USD).
