With BAPE being known for their wild and colorful designs, it seems odd that the more neutral and muted JJJJOUND would make a solid partnership with the Japanese streetwear giant. On top of apparel, a BAPESTA Low is also set to release in the JJJJound x Bape Collection.
Coming dressed in a premium tumbled white leather upper, the JJJJound x BAPE BAPESTA Low matches the apparel collection with its accenting cool grey. Seen along both sides of the mid-foot, the iconic Bape Star branding is dressed in the aforementioned grey tumbled leather. Wrapping around to the heel, grey makes its way to the dual branded JJJJound and BAPE heel tabs. Further JJJJound branding can be found stamped on the insole. Finishing up the design is the white midsole matched to a grey rubber outsole. Packaged in a muted grey BAPE camo shoebox, the two brands find harmony among their wildly different design philosophies.
The apparel collection is set to include two items, a BAPE x JJJJound College Tee and a BAPE x JJJJound Classic College Pullover Hoodie. Featuring the standard King Ape face seen on their normal tees, JJJJound puts their spin on the iconic A Bathing Ape branding by replacing it with “A Tasteful Ape”. Both articles of clothing will come dressed in the same two-tone white and grey.
The JJJJound x BAPE collection featuring the BAPESTA Low is set to release Saturday, February 5th. It will drop exclusively on JJJJound.com, as well as at BAPE online and in-store retail locations worldwide.
