The collaboration game in the sneakers and casual footwear world has seen some surprising partnerships, and JJJJound’s take on the Crocs Classic Clog is no exception. JJJJound, a Montreal-based design studio, has teamed up with various brands in the footwear industry, including New Balance, Reebok, and Vans, in the past and continues to bring its minimalist aesthetic with its new project with Crocs.
The collaborative Classic Clog looks similar to a standard version of the model but with subtle alterations that showcase JJJJound's signature minimalist style. The clog comes either in "White" or "Slate Grey" and features EVA foam material and the usual perforations on the toebox for breathability. The most noticeable modification comes from the sports mode strap, which traditionally bears the "Crocs" text. Now, the strap is branded with "JJJJound," written upside-down to be correctly displayed when worn on top of the shoe rather than around the ankle. Attaching the strap to the slip-on is a brass rivet hosting JJJJound branding on the lateral side and Crocs on the medial side. Rounding out the design is the tonal foam outsole.
The JJJJound x Crocs Classic Clog Pack will release September 14, 2023 exclusively through JJJJound online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $75.
