JJJJound's projects are known for their understated yet luxurious takes on classic silhouettes, consistently attracting the attention of sneakerheads. This year, their partnership with New Balance delivered the highly sought-after Gore-Tex 2002R, a sneaker that embodied the brand’s refined aesthetic. As we move into 2024, JJJJound is set to elevate its collaboration game once more, this time focusing on the beloved New Balance 993 Made in USA model.
Revealed via JJJJound’s lookbook for the brand’s Levi’s collaboration, the JJJJound and New Balance showcases the 993 in a timeless, earthy color palette. The sneaker features premium pigskin suede overlays in a rich brown hue that covers the mudguard, midfoot, eyestays, and heel. Complementing the brown tones are black nubuck accents on the toebox overlays and collar, adding depth and texture to the design. The iconic New Balance N logo and lace set also come in black, maintaining the brand’s signature understated elegance. A black midsole and outsole combo anchors the sneaker to complete the look.
Alongside the black and grey variant, a second pair featuring tonal grey shades has been revealed.
The JJJJound x New Balance 993 Made in USA Pack will release in 2024 through JJJJound online and possibly via New Balance and select retailers. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
