Reebok and JJJJound are no strangers to working with one another. The two have previously teamed up on the Reebok Classic Nylon and Club C 85. Feeling the nostalgia, Reebok and JJJJound are joining forces on yet another classic 80's tennis silouhette, the NPC (formerly known as the Newport Classic). To call the NPC a classic is bit of an understatement. Throughout the 80's, tennis stars ranging from John McEnroe and Boris Becker donned these on the court. Heck, even mafia mob boss, John Gotti wore a crisp white pair of NPC's when he turned himself over to the FBI back in '86.
As with any JJJJound collaboration, JJJJound makes this pair of NPC's uniquely their own all while keeping things simple. Ditching the smooth leather that typically covers the upper of the Reebok NPC, JJJJound opts for tumbled white giving the sneaker added texture. An EVA midsole helps add cushioning while the high abrasion outsole provides maximum traction. Rounding things out is a JJJJound embossed logo on the sneaker's sidepanels in gold lettering and the fuzzy terry cloth sockliner that has been used in previous JJJJound x Reebok collaborations.
