JJJJound continues to dip its toes into the footwear industry with collaborations from the likes of New Balance and Vans with the Justin Saunders-founded imprint most recently tackling the New Balance 991. Even though we can expect to see the two labels continue to work together, JJJJound is taking on the outdoors with famed hiking brand ROA on an upcoming collaborative hiking boot.
While at this time we’re unsure exactly which silhouette the two are working on, we see the classic JJJJound motif of minimalistic design in the preview image shared by the brand. Across this outdoor-ready boot, rubberized panels wrap around the mudguard while black leather is utilized for the majority of the upper. ROA branding remains in place while JJJJound’s logo is embroidered in white near the quarter panel and D-ring eyestays. For laces, a two-tone black and white finish is applied and contrasts with the all-black tongue it sits atop. Back on the heel, a silver leather overlay shines through while the design comes rounded out by a Vibram rubber midsole and outsole.
The JJJJound x ROA Hiking Boot is slated to launch in the Spring/Summer 2023 through JJJJound online and possibly through ROA and select retailers. As of now, sizing and pricing information is TBA.
