Justin Saunders just doesn't take a break, does he? This year alone, he has released collaborations with everyone from ASICS all the way to New Balance, with a JJJJound x adidas Samba collection rumored to be coming soon as well. As if that wasn't enough, the Montreal-based label has now added yet another major collaboration under its belt with the JJJJound x Puma Suede "Maroon." Taking on the five-decade-old silhouette, here's everything that we know so far.
JJJJound's third take on the Suede, following the release of the "Limestone" and "Putty" earlier this year, this pair seems to be crafted from either leather or suede and is painted in a wine red "Maroon" hue throughout. A contrast "White" Formstrip shoots through the lateral and medial side panels, while gold foil "JJJJound" branding is finely debossed around the heel in the classic serif font. Elsewhere, the midsole has been left in a clean white hue, and infused with EVA foam for comfort and cushioning that's made for everyday wear. All this is packed in a special co-branded shoebox that's definitely made for the collectors out there.
The JJJJound x Puma Suede Maroon is set to release on December 24th, 2022 in men's sizes. Unfortunately, these will also be exclusive to Chinese markets, so they'll drop at Puma China and select select retailers with a retail price yet TBA.
