The latest addition to Jordan Brand’s lineup of performance basketball sneakers is the Jordan Luka 2, a sneaker crafted specifically for the playstyle of Luka Doncic and the next generation of athletes. As part of the model's official unveiling, Jordan Brand announced one colorway each season will take inspiration from Slovenia while featuring 20 percent recycled contents. The first such tribute Doncic's home country will come from the Jordan Luka 2 Lake Bled.
Varying hues of blue envelope the Luka 2’s upper, which contains engineered mesh and TPU, to evoke the namesake lake in Northwest Slovenia. The pop of red on the branding details atop the tongue and lace set elevates the design while retaining Jordan's heritage. Recycled portions come via the tongue's foam, as well as stitching and internal tooling throughout the sneaker. The shoe boasts full-length Formula 23 foam and Cushlon 3.0 on the medial side. Both are encased by a white midsole, with a blue outsole completing the sneaker's design.
The Jordan Luka 2 Lake Bled will release September 14, 2023 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
