Jayson Tatum is fresh off releasing his first signature sneaker with Jordan Brand, the Jordan Tatum 1. Following up this “Zoo” colorway are a series of other colorways that get inspiration from Tatum’s personal life. This includes a “St. Louis” theme, as well as a “Pink Lemonade” rendition. Adding to the list of Jordan Tatum 1s headed our way in 2023; the “Old School” colorway has just received official images.
Coming to us in a combination of lightweight mesh, tumbled leather, foam, and TPU, this “Old School” colorway oozes “Black Cement” vibes. Most of the upper takes on a black finish with metallic silver and red accents spotted throughout. This combo of colors also resembles Tatum's AJ 14 Low PE that took inspiration from his 1960s mustang. Around the toebox, the lightweight mesh upper partially reveals a red layer below, while shiny black TPU overlays wrap around the eyestays and portions of this toebox. Black laces match most of the upper with the “JT” logo embroidered in metallic silver atop the tumbled leather portion of the tongue. More hits of tumbled leather land on the collar and heel, with a Jumpman logo also getting a metallic silver finish. Branding details continue onto the heel tab with Tatum’s number "0" and his signature placed atop a red nylon pull tab. A grey finish is applied for its sole unit, with parts of the sole wrapping up along the lateral side, giving a view into the uncaged Zoom Air near the forefoot. Rounding out the design is the foam and rubber outsole in grey, with black hits on the zonal traction pattern.
The Jordan Tatum 1 Old School will release July 15 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Releasing in full-family sizing, the retail price is set at $120 (men), $90 (GS), $75 (PS), and $55 (TD).
