Jayson Tatum has been riding high after leading the Boston Celtics to an NBA Championship victory, further solidifying his status as one of the league's premier talents. Throughout the playoffs, Tatum showcased his second signature sneaker with Jordan Brand, the Tatum 2, in an array of exclusive PE colorways and general release models. While he didn’t take the court in the upcoming Wave Runner colorway, it does borrow its vibrant aesthetic from one of the original Tatum 1 colorways.
Evoking the laid-back vibe of a summer day by the water, the Jordan Tatum 2 Wave Runner features a visually striking design with a canvas upper adorned with a water graphic. This thematic canvas covers nearly the entire sneaker, complemented by contrasting green hues on the midfoot's textile pod and purple accents on the rubber pod and heel's textile pod. The tongue sports JT branding in a vibrant green, while the sockliner is finished in a bright pink, adding a playful touch to the overall design.
Underfoot, the Tatum 2 Wave Runner offers superior cushioning and comfort with a white midsole that houses a full-length Air Strobel unit. This advanced cushioning technology ensures responsive and supportive strides, whether making quick moves on the hardwood or enjoying a casual day out. The outsole features a white, purple, and green rubber blend, providing excellent traction and durability.
The Jordan Tatum 2 Wave Runner will be released on July 25, 2024, through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120, with GS sizes at $90, PS sizes at $75, and TD sizes at $55.
