While the Jordan 1 through 14 are coveted by many OG sneakerheads and new ones alike, Jordan Brand’s introduction of new silhouettes trying to capture the essence of these sneakers doesn’t see the same amount of hype as a retro would. Just like the Jordan 6 Rings silhouette, the Jordan Two Trey is a mixture of models from MJ’s playing days with the latest colorway appearing in a two-tone "Cool Grey Hyper Pink."
DNA from the seven sneakers Jordan won his championships in, the 6 through 8 and 11 through 14, make up the Jordan Two Trey. Cool Grey shades take over the entire upper with accenting hits of hyper pink landing on the sockliner, stitching details, and branding elements on the tongue and heel. Pieces from the AJ 8 and 13 are present thanks to the chenille patch on the top of the tongue while the perforated mesh on the midfoot harkens back to the AJ 6. The collar's design is obviously an homage to the AJ 7, though the heel’s branding details denote the two Bulls championship runs from 91-93 and 96-98. Rounding out the look is the midsole and outsole that take elements from the 11, 12, and 14 models, coming in white and pink respectively.
The Jordan Two Trey Cool Grey Hyper Pink W is scheduled to release in 2022 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $155.
