Each year, Nike and Jordan Brand launch a collection of sneakers to honor the Chinese New Year and the associated zodiac animal. For 2025, the Year of the Snake is front and center in various silhouettes, including the Jordan 1 Low OG, Jordan 5 Retro, and the Jordan 11 Low. In addition to these models, a hybrid sneaker from Jordan Brand, the Jordan Legacy 312 Low, is joining the celebration.
Previous Chinese New Year-themed collections also included this amalgamation of the Jordan 1, Jordan 3, and Air Alpha Force, with this year’s iteration playing the same theme as other Year of the Snake sneakers. Stark white hues grace most of the leather paneling on the upper, including the mudguard, toebox, eyestays, and midfoot, while the Swoosh features a faux “shedding” snakeskin ripstop Swoosh. On the Air Alpha Force-inspired lockdown strap, we see a cream finish applied, matching the shade found on the textured tongue and collar.

While the only direct nod to the Year of the Snake on the upper comes via the aforementioned Swoosh, the Jumpman-laden heel tab, taken from the AJ 3, has an iridescent finish similar to the snakeskin of select breeds of snakes. A cream suede panel surrounds this tab, helping finish the upper’s design. The Air Jordan 3 midsole with a crimson-cream finish applied to the heel and a milky semi-translucent rubber outsole is rounding out the look.
The Jordan Legacy 312 Low Year of the Snake W will release in Spring 2025 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is $145.
