A world-renowned artist and favorite for many hip-hop legends, KAWS has been quite busy in the last year or so as he has worked not only with the likes of Cudi and The North Face on collaborative apparel collections but even found time to help General Mills redesign its monster-themed cereal collection. Even with his work reaching across different mediums, his most infamous pieces are his figurines that are sought after by collectors and fans alike with his latest coming themed after Valentine’s Day - the KAWS BFF “Time Off” collection.
Similar to the Companion figure, the hairy-like figurine features typical KAWS details like his “X” motif on the eyeballs and the gloves/shoes seen on the aforementioned Companion figure. Taking the “Time Off” moniker literally, the figurine is positioned on its side as if it is taking it easy. For its three color options, you’ve got a Valentine’s Day-ready pink as well as a blue and black version.
The KAWS BFF Time Off collection launches on Valentine’s Day (February 14th) 2023 through KAWS’ website. Retail is expected to be $280 for each figurine.
