Dover Street Market is celebrating its tenth anniversary in New York City. In honor of this momentous occasion, a unique collaboration emerges between Sky High Farm Workwear and Nike, featuring the artistic touch of KAWS. More than just a style statement, the collection is a blend of high fashion and meaningful cause, with Dover Street Market set to release a 10-piece capsule that reimagines Nike classics, including two Air Force 1 Low colorways. GQ first reported on news of this collaboration.
Under the Sky High Farm Universe, co-founded by Colen and Daphne Seybold, Sky High Farm Workwear goes beyond fashion. The brand has a noble mission of providing food security to underprivileged communities, a pursuit it has dedicatedly followed since 2012. A significant part of the profits from this collaboration will bolster the nonprofit's efforts to deliver food to those in need.
The collection's centerpiece is undoubtedly the KAWS reimagined Air Force 1 Low, available in pristine white and sleek black. These sneakers have been meticulously crafted with a "printed, dye-cut Swoosh applique" overlaying the original logo, a design element that KAWS tailored to resonate with Sky High's cloud-based imagery. "I wanted to create something that existed within that family, but sort of make it my own," said Donnelly, emphasizing the blend of existing designs with a unique twist. According to Donnelly, the AF1s and other gear in this capsule are reused, meaning these are likely custom pairs of GR AF1s.
The KAWS x Sky High Farm x Nike Air Force 1 Low will release on December 16, 2023, at Dover Street Market NYC and online via Sky High Farm Universe. Each pair will be priced at $350.
