2021 marks an epic milestone for the Brooklyn-based skateshop, KCDC. Founded in 2001, the female-owned retailer is set to continue their “Unity Makes Strength” campaign on their first collaboration with Nike SB. The KCDC x Nike SB Dunk High was designed by Amy Ellington, KCDC’s founder as well as her creative team.
An “Orange Label” edition, these Dunk’s come in a pink and black colorway, paying homage to their storefront on 80 N 3rd Street which is now colored in pink brick. The sneaker boasts an all-pink upper in premium suedes, with a darker shade on the underlays and a light shade on the overlays. Black accents the leather “Swoosh” on the sides, laces, leather collar liner, custom back heel pull tab, tongue tag and midsole. KCDC branding on the aforementioned back heel pull tab, the shop's inaugural year “2001” on the tongue tag and custom insoles are finished off by a full translucent pink outsole.
The KCDC x Nike SB Dunk High Pro ISO 20th Anniversary edition is set to release on November 20th, 2021 exclusively at Frame in Dubai. A follow-up release at select Nike SB retailers will follow in 2022. They will be available exclusively in men’s sizing retailing for $150, housed in special packaging.
