Starting their collaborative history in the same year as the Manhattan-based companies founding, Kith and New Balance have produced some of the most coveted NB colorways of the last decade. Recently shared through Kith’s founder Ronnie Fieg’s Twitter are early images of the upcoming Kith x New Balance 990v4.
Taking inspiration from the previously released Kith x United Arrows & Sons x New Balance 997, the silhouette dons a mix of grey suede and mesh across various underlays and overlays respectively, as well as hits of purple and pink throughout. Starting down around the toe, a grey suede toe cap gets accented by grey mesh and hits of purple suede on the famous 99X toebox overlays. The tongue, laces, and sockliner diverge from the grey, coming in a deep black. Along the midfoot sits a New Balance N logo in hot pink, piped with white leather, standing out amongst the grey suede. More grey hits come in the form of the collar and heel overlays, accented by more hot pink. Rounding out the look is the two-tone white and aged cream midsole and black rubber outsole.
The Kith x New Balance 990v4 is set to release in 2022 through Kith, New Balance, and select NB retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
