Following the successful launch of their first collaboration in October 2023, KORN and adidas are set to release their second collaborative collection in May 2024. The band has historically been connected with adidas, though not through official means, as famously highlighted in their song A.D.I.D.A.S and its affinity for adidas sneakers and apparel during their come-up in the mid-90s.
Thanks to Brendan Dunne of Complex, we can see the adidas Campus and Supermodified silhouettes taking center stage for this collection, with designs that embody the essence of KORN's musical legacy and adidas's timeless appeal. The Campus 2s are presented in Carbon and Black White colorways, featuring a luxurious suede upper complemented by white leather on the Three Stripes and heel tab. The meticulous detailing continues with KORN branding prominently displayed on the tongue and heel, alongside hidden motifs within the shoe that nod to the band's A.D.I.D.A.S anthem, their album Life Is Peachy, and their influential career.
Transitioning to the Supermodified, the collection offers a contrasting aesthetic with a burgundy and cream palette. The upper is predominantly brown, with cream detailing on the rubber toe, laces, sockliner, and midsole. KORN's presence is unmistakably marked with a unique lace dubrae and branding on the tongue and insole, seamlessly integrating the band's identity with the sneaker's design. The ensemble is completed with an off-white midsole and a classic gum outsole, ensuring each step resonates with KORN's legacy.
Beyond footwear, the collection extends into apparel, featuring an array of pieces such as tracksuits, double-layer tees, hoodies, flannels, and more, all designed to complement the sneakers and offer fans a complete look that encapsulates the spirit of KORN and adidas.
The second KORN x adidas Collection will release on May 15, 2024, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store, with the Campus 2 Carbon priced at $120. The long-sleeve shirt, cap, and socks, will retail for $65, $40, and $25, respectively. The Supermodified Burgundy and the green sequin Tracksuit will release on May 14, exclusively via KORN's webstore. Retail for the Supermodified is $140, while the sequin pants are $120 and the jacket is $180. The Campus 2 Black White will release at a later date.
