Limited Edt, the sneaker boutique over in Singapore, has landed many collaborations in its history, working with the likes of Reebok, New Balance, and adidas. The latter of the three happens to be joining forces with Limited once again to complete a series of releases that started back in 2015, beginning with dressing the ZX Flux and Superstar in batik-inspired floral patterns. Fast forward a few years and the duo do the same thing to the Superstar Clean silhouette, though it wouldn't be until 2022 that the series would be completed with the upcoming Limited Edt x adidas Forum 84 Low "Singapore Forum."
Taking the iconic 80s basketball silhouette, Limited Edt fuses the DNA of the OG colorway and construction to create an homage to Singaporean heritage. Premium grey hairy suede dresses the toebox, midfoot, collar, and tongue while the overlays throughout are covered in white leather. Navy hues make an appearance on the suede Three Stripes along the midfoot as well as on the leather tongue tag that swaps adidas branding for an “LE” logo, though the Trefoil on the X-strap is given a golden makeover. Keeping the batik floral pattern alive is the navy sockliner and insole, both dressed in multi-color shades that feature the batik print. This same pattern also lands on the lockdown straps window while its final appearance is set for the semi-translucent rubber outsole. Finishing the design is the cream-colored rubber midsole.
With only 300 pairs produced, the Limited Edt x adidas Fourm 84 Low Singapore Forum will see a release through Limited Edt storefronts and online on August 27th, 2022. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at 209 SGD (approx $150 USD).
