Paris Fashion Week kicked off this week with the heavy hitters showcasing their upcoming Spring/Summer 2023 collections. The Louis Vuitton show was one of the highlights with this being Virgil’s last collection with LV, fitting as the entire show as well as Kendrick Lamar’s performance was dedicated to the late-great multi-hyphenated designer. Alongside avant-garde apparel, the historic luxury fashion house premiered one of their latest sneaker designs that borrows heavily from the Yeezy Foam RNNR and clogs in general, the Louis Vuitton Foam Clog.
Like plenty of other brands clog sneakers, the model utilizes a two-piece construction with an internal bootie being paired with a foam exoskeleton, though, Louis Vuitton takes things to another level. The blue knit internal bootie comes plastered with LV monogram print embossed throughout, taking a slightly lighter shade of color compared to the accenting blue hits seen on the white foam exoskeleton. Along the toebox, perforations run in a curved pattern, sitting below the elevated blue LV emblem and “tongue.” The design of the foam keeps things cloud-like and curvy with various cuts and indentations placed throughout. LV branding continues near the heel with their flower emblem and “Vuitton” text near the toe. Down below, a sky blue outsole completes the foam clog’s look.
The Louis Vuitton Foam Clog is set to release in Spring 2023 through Louis Vuitton and select LV retailers online and in-store. As of now, sizing and retail pricing is TBA, though expect typical LV pricing.
