The man behind Mache Customs, Dan Gamache, is gearing up for his second official collaboration. After working with Ewing Athletics on the 2019 release of the Ewing 33 Hi “Ace Ventura” edition, Mache has teamed with New Balance for the first time on a limited edition 57/40.
Coinciding with National Pizza Day, this New Balance 57/40 draws inspiration from the classic Italian staple food. The sneaker sports a wheat and white upper, made up of various materials such as suede, leather and mesh. The wheat accents represent pizza dough while green and maroon hits are a nod to other seasonings and toppings commonly found on pies. Red sauce highlights the tongue as well as wrapping around the back heel. A custom tablecloth tongue tag and dual branded pizza insoles finish things off.
The Mache x New Balance 57/40 Pizza is set to release on February 9th, 2022. It will drop at New Balance as well as select retailers in-store and online.
