Matas Buzelis Gets Four Reebok Engine A PEs for NBA All-Star 2025

In his rookie season with the Chicago Bulls, Matas Buzelis has already been selected to participate in the NBA All-Star festivities. The Lithuanian star will participate in the Dunk Contest, wearing Reebok’s first performance basketball sneaker in over a decade, the Reebok Engine A, which just launched in the Metallic Silver colorway. However, Buzelis, who signed with the sportswear brand in October, will be rocking exclusive colorways of the sneaker that nod to his heritage, family, hometown, and connection to Dink Pate.

Being from the city of Chicago, Matas pays tribute to his hometown (and the city he plays for) with a color that combines the colors from the city’s flag, featuring light blue, white, and red hits. The blue hits represent the city’s waterways, white for the unity of those in Chicago, and red for the four stars that represent historical moments from the city’s past. Another pair opts for an homage to Matas’ Lithuanian root through its orange color palette, a tribute to castles like Trakai Castle and Gediminas Tower.

Another pair is inspired by his sister, Sophia, who has supported Matas throughout his journey to the NBA. Before every game, she texts her brother an inspirational quote, “If you weren’t ready, you wouldn’t have the opportunity,” with this quote split between the insole of the left and right shoe. The mismatched pair features pink and blue hues on the left sneaker and orange and peach on the right.

Finally, a pair that Buzelis was spotted wearing on the court on February 11, 2025, against the Pistons rounds out his PE collection. This pair comes covered in a purple gradient across the overlays with lightning bolt graphics. Below this sits a solid dark purple finish, matching the tongue and heel overlay. Inspiration for the color scheme comes from the connection between Matas Buzelis and Dink Pate, who spent time together as teammates while Buzelis played in the NBA G-League.

The four pairs of Reebok Engine A’s for Matas Buzelis will remain exclusive to the Bulls star. Expect to see him take the court throughout the rest of the NBA season and during his appearance in the Dunk Contest in these pairs.
