More and more sneakerheads are paying attention to the work Asics has been putting in as the trend of mesh runners and techy designs remains strong. With all these eyeballs on the Japanese label, they’ve been on top of staying relevant in the world of collaborations, teaming up with various brands from across the globe. On the eve of JJJJound launching its latest project with the label, we’ve got an official look at a new collaboration with fellow Japanese brand Min-Nano on the Gel-Nimbus 10.1.
Introduced earlier this year, the Gel-Nimbus 10.1 is an incremental update to the Gel-Nimbus 10, a running silhouette from 2008 that has so far appeared in collaboration with Stefon Diggs and Kith. Min-Nano keeps things neutral on the silhouette, adding grey shades to the paneling around the mudguard, eyestays, and the Asics tiger stripes. All overlays surrounding the tongue and the leather panel running down the spine of the mesh tongue come with a reflective 3M finish. Contrasting the grey-silver finish of the overlays are the white mesh base, cream laces, and the tonal semi-translucent TPU that covers the warped grid pattern near the midfoot and heel. Underfoot, the silhouette comes complete with a cream Gel-Nimbus 10 midsole paired with a white rubber outsole.
The Min-Nano x Asics Gel-Nimbus 10.1 will release on November 9, 2024, through Asics online, while Min-Nano will host a release in Japan on November 24, 2024. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $200. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
