Minecraft and adidas are Releasing Sneakers and Apparel in June 2025

Minecraft transcended from a niche video game made by a small group of Swedish developers to become the highest-selling video game of all time over the last decade-plus. With this steady popularity, Minecraft has also been merchandised across various collaborations, including the footwear industry. Following the Minecraft Crocs and Puma collaborations, the Minecraft universe is heading to Herzogenaurach, Germany, to link up with adidas on a collection of sneakers and apparel.
For the first drop in this collaboration, adidas and Minecraft will work on the Superstar, Handball Spezial, and a handful of different apparel items. Starting with the Superstar, we see a clean white and black color palette applied to the upper, with pixelated details and Minecraft branding tying the two together.
One of the game’s most iconic creatures, the Creeper, is found on an added lace dubrae, while the heel tab comes with a green texture that somewhat resembles a Creeper’s skin or is possibly a nod to the grass blocks of leaves in the game. Minecraft’s logo is placed on the midfoot, replacing the Superstar’s logo, and next to the Three Stripes logo. On the tongue tag, we see a nod to the in-game crafting system, with the Trefoil logo and Minecraft logo coming together to create boots from the game, a clever nod to the collaboration featuring footwear.
Moving to the Handball Spezial, we see an important creature, the Enderman, brought to life on the low-top model. In the game, Enderman drops Ender Pearls, an item required to reach The End and beat the game. The slender, all-black creature is brought to life with a black suede upper, pixelated Three Stripes, and an Enderman head added as a lace dubrae. The purple eyes of the Enderman are also translated onto the Handball Spezial logo atop the tongue, while a direct nod to their eyes is found on the back of the heel. The Minecraft logos on the midfoot, insole, and gum rubber sole unit finish the sneaker.
In addition to the sneakers, there are multiple clothing options. One set includes a crewneck and sweatpants that add the texture from Creepers onto the Three Stripes. There’s even a co-branded logo featuring the Trefoil logo and a Creepers head. Shirts included depict the Trefoil logo with Minecraft’s fire texture lit across the design.
The Minecraft x adidas Collection will release in June 2025 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in kids’ sizing, the apparel collection ranges between $25 and $60, while the footwear price has yet to be announced.
