In the world of sneakers, few brands have mastered the art of the comeback quite like New Balance. With a history steeped in performance and heritage, the Boston-based label has consistently found ways to breathe new life into classic silhouettes, making them relevant for today's discerning sneaker enthusiasts. The New Balance 1000 is the latest model to receive this revival treatment. Initially released in 1999, this silhouette vanished from the spotlight only to be resurrected in 2024 with a fresh lineup of colorways. This new series of releases includes collaborative efforts with Joe Freshgoods in Pink Mink and Black Ice and inline variants like the Grey, Metallic Silver, Tan Pink, Black Multi-Color, White Grey Cream, and Green Grey. Now, a Grey Cream pair has emerged.
Coming in a pack alongside the aforementioned Tan Pink and Green Grey, the Grey Cream colorway features a split color scheme, with the lower half bathed in various shades of grey and the upper half adorned in creamy tones. The construction combines soft suede that wraps around the shoe from heel to toe and smooth leather on the toe box. The base is crafted from a grey netted mesh, providing a durable yet breathable structure. Complementing the upper, the laces, tongue, and sock liner are finished in a matching cream color, creating a harmonious balance between the two tones. A grey sole unit sits beneath, coupled with a black outsole, completing the look with a classic touch.
The New Balance 1000 Grey Cream will release on September 11, 2024, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
