Teddy Santis, founder of Aime Leon Dore and creative director of New Balance’s Made in USA lineup, posted a pair of New Balance 1000s on his Instagram story earlier this year, sparking hype in the New Balance community for the archival model's revival. Since then, we’ve seen NB give the sneaker an array of inline colorways, from the recent Pink Tan to more subdued Grey color schemes, and allow partners like ALD and Joe Freshgoods to work on the sneaker. New Balance has prepped three neutral colorways that will fit any wardrobe.
Coming in Triple Black, Grey White, and Grey Silver color schemes, each pair comes with a mesh base construction alongside leather overlays. Wavy, contoured panels run along the midfoot and are split by the mesh base, while we see cutouts and embroidered details hit the toecap. Tonal colors are applied throughout the upper, with accenting colors landing on the lace holders and N logos. 1000 text is on the lateral toe and heel, with more New Balance logos adorning the tongue tag and insole. Underfoot, the pairs come complete with a tonal foam midsole, sans the Grey White pair that comes with a contrasting white sole paired with a black rubber outsole.
The New Balance 1000 Neutral Pack will release on October 7, 2024, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
