Placing an emphasis on quality and craftsmanship, New Balance's factory in Flimby, UK has been home to some of the most premium sneakers that we've ever had the privilege of putting on our feet. 2022 marks the establishment's 40th birthday, and before the year comes to a close, the brand is ending things with a bang with the New Balance 1500 Made In England "Black Grey." Part of a wider collection, here's everything that you need to know about the latest Made in UK release.
Crafted in England from New Balance's finest leathers, this 1500 is painted in a black color scheme and is inspired by the humble Donkey Jacket which was worn by British workers back in the 19th century. Buttery grey suede wraps around the collar, while Harris Tweed dresses the toebox for that classic English look and feel. "N" logos are embroidered across the lateral and medial side panels, and just in case you didn't already know, "Made in England" is stitched onto the tongue to remind you that this isn't any old 1500. All of this then sits on top of a crisp white ENCAP midsole, perfectly combining form with function and style with substance.
The New Balance 1500 Made In England Black Grey will release in December 14th, 2022 in men's sizes and will retail for $235 at New Balance and select retailers.
