New Balance's Made in UK line is set for a significant year in 2024, celebrating the 35th anniversary of one of its most iconic models, the Steven Smith-designed New Balance 1500. This milestone has prompted the brand to release many new colorways, including anniversary-themed editions and striking color palettes like Green Oasis and Blood Orange. As part of the upcoming Vintage Sport Pack, which also features the 991v2 and the 576, the New Balance 1500 is getting a fresh, classic makeover.
The New Balance 1500 Made in UK Vintage Sport comes dressed in a sophisticated grey and white color scheme, accented with hits of navy and red. Grey suede dominates the mudguard, midfoot panel, and heel tab, providing a premium and durable touch. The toe box features breathable white mesh, while the collar and heel are adorned with smooth leather. The heel sports the iconic NB branding in a vibrant red, adding a pop of color to the otherwise muted palette.
The N logo on the midfoot is white and navy, maintaining the model's classic look. The tongue features New Balance Made in England text, split between red and blue, sitting against a grey background. This detail highlights the craftsmanship and heritage of the Made in England line. Underfoot, the sneaker boasts a cream 1500 midsole that ensures comfort and support, paired with a light gum rubber outsole for excellent traction and a vintage aesthetic.
The New Balance 1500 Made in UK Vintage Sport will release on June 13, 2024, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $250.
