When New Balance first introduced the 2002R Protection Pack back in 2021, it probably would never have imagined how hyped the collection would eventually become. The brainchild of Chinese footwear designer Yue Wu, it looks like the Protection Pack will be venturing towards other silhouettes very soon, as we take a first look at the New Balance 1906D Protection Pack "Grey Cream." The fourth colorway that we've seen so far, make sure you read on to find out everything that you need to know.
Bearing a striking resemblance to the "Rain Cloud" color scheme, this 1906D boasts a light grey mesh base while jagged suede panels wrap around the upper, just like the original trio. The "N" logo across the sidewalls works in tandem with the lacing system for a sleek and streamlined look, and around the back, the heel counter has been given a matte finish that's as futuristic as they come. Underfoot, the ABZORB midsole is dipped in a clean cream hue for a vintage vibe, and this is infused with a N-ERGY outsole for the perfect balance between form and function.
Not much else is known about the New Balance 1906D Protection Pack Grey Cream at this moment in time, but it'll release sometime in 2023 in men's sizes. Expected to launch via New Balance and select retailers worldwide, a retail price has yet TBA for this pair. Want this in your rotation next year?
