The resurrection of the New Balance 550 through the lens of Teddy Santis and ALD has created the Boston-based brand's hottest silhouette in recent memory. While these collabs are highly sought after, so are the GR colorways. On the heels of three more ALD x New Balance 550’s coming to light, we’re getting first looks at one of the most wearable colorways to dress the silhouette, the New Balance 550 “Panda.”
The all-leather construction dons a two-tone black and white combo with a hint of vintage cream. Unlike the popular Nike Dunk Low “Panda,” black is the main color used on the upper of the toebox, tongue, and overlays throughout. Cream details pop against the black design, located on hits of branding on the base of the eyelet and along the midfoot with the New Balance N logo. The last hit of white on the upper is found along the collar area, coming in a much brighter white than the rest of the silhouette. Rounding out the look is the cream-colored midsole paired with a tri-toned black, grey, and white rubber outsole.
The New Balance 550 Panda is set to release in 2022 through New Balance and select New Balance retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
