The New Balance 550 is a fan favorite that strikes a perfect balance between retro charm and modern aesthetics. We continue to see New Balance dress the Steven Smith-designed silhouette in various color schemes, including the women’s exclusive “Sea Salt Olive” colorway. Now, a vibrant “Astro Dust” colorway has emerged.
Across the upper, this iteration of the 550 sports grey suede on the mudguard and collar, while white perforated leather graces the toebox and midfoot panel. The brand's signature "N" logo appears in cream and is framed by striking red piping. Additional red accents are located on the collar, heel, sockliner, and the logos on the tongue and heel. The shoe's underfoot comfort is ensured by a white, New Balance-branded midsole paired with a red outsole echoing the sneaker's accent color.
The New Balance 550 Astro Dust will release June 21 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
