There's no denying that New Balance is riding high on the waves of fashion's ongoing affinity for all things retro. Even one of its new models, the New Balance 9060, stands out for its appealing blend of modernity and vintage aesthetics. With its distinctly chunky yet streamlined design, the shoe has been embraced for its capacity to bridge the gap between nostalgic Y2K design cues and contemporary trends. Now, New Balance is further expanding its offerings by introducing the “Turtledove” colorway.
The New Balance 9060 "Turtledove" is wrapped in a harmonious array of neutral tones. Crafted with a thoughtful blend of mesh, suede, and leather, the upper showcases shades of grey and tan that seamlessly flow into each other. The mesh base layer comes in a muted grey hue, further highlighted by matching suede overlays coating the upper. A soft touch of tan nubuck adorns the toebox and heel, subtly disrupting the monochromatic grey while maintaining the neutral palette. Stark white laces hang off the tan-shaded tongue, mirroring the crisp white piping that traces the silver 3M "N" logo. The midsole mixes white, tan, and cream above a stark black outsole to ground the design.
The New Balance 9060 Turtledove will release this year through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
