Over at New Balance, the introduction of new silhouettes like the 9060 has helped the Boston-based brand grow its audience even further as the Y2K aesthetic the model brings is in style at the moment. While we’re still waiting on the collaborative effort from Mowalola and the large pack of samples set for 2023, another Boston-based brand, Concepts, is helping launch a pack of new colorways in “Workwear” and “Indigo.”
Both colorways in this collection feature the same material makeup while alternating the overlays accenting shades as the “Workwear” variation comes with golden tans and browns throughout the suede and nubuck overlays, while the “Indigo” pair uses its namesake and grey to accent the white mesh base. More neutral shades of white appear on the lace set, tongue, and sockliner, while the branding details such as the “N” logo and tongue tag come in a silver finish, though the “Workwear” pair gets pink on its tongue tag. Underfoot, a chunky sole unit comes in a two-tone white and grey with a protruding heel overlay in clear plastic. Rounding out the design is the rubber outsole with diamond-shaped traction pods in a complimentary shade.
The New Balance 9060 Workwear & Indigo Pack is set to launch on September 23rd, 2022 exclusively through Concepts online and in-store while a launch through New Balance and other retailers will go down on October 1st, 2022. Retailing for $150, both pairs will be available in unisex sizing.
