New Balance and Teddy Santis have created a massive hit with NB fans and sneakerheads alike through their Made in USA Collection in 2022, creating quality sneakers with easy-to-wear colorways. Though we have just seen the release of the latest 990v1 and 990v3 in this collection, we don’t have to wait long to get our hands on the upcoming New Balance 990v2 Made in USA by Teddy Santis "Black."
Coming constructed with its usual suede and mesh combo, the silhouette takes on a majority all-black suede from heel to toe. Contrasting the deep black is an olive-hued mesh base, seen on the toebox, midfoot, and collar. Grey suede overlays further contrast the toe area, also acting as a vamp for the cream canvas tongue and white flat cotton laces. Atop this tongue is a 990 and New Balance label, embroidered in a more true white. The sockliner continues this true white shade with the insole just below coming in black and housing a retro New Balance branding graphic. Along the midfoot, the black N logo gets a white backdrop, providing a pop of color amongst the black suede. Back on the heel, USA branding is plastered onto a 3M reflective heel tab. Underfoot, a vintage cream Abzorb cushioned midsole is paired with a black and olive-colored rubber outsole.
The New Balance 990v2 Made in USA by Teddy Santis Black is set to release on July 7th, 2022 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $195.
