New Balance and their 99X series have seen a massive resurgence thanks in part to ALD founder Teddy Santis. The new Creative Director of New Balance’s Made In USA line gave sneakerheads a sneak peek at what he had in store for us back in February, and now the collection is coming to life. Though the silhouette has already been given the "Marblehead" treatment, the New Balance 990v3 Made In USA By Teddy Santis has now been spotted in “Sea Salt."
As with the 990v3 “Sea Salt,” the silhouette takes on a combo of breathable mesh and premium leather across the upper. The majority of the leather overlays come in a stark white, contrasting the grey seen on the toe, midfoot "N" logo, and heel tab. The mudguard and top-most eyestay venture into an off white tone, contrasting well against the cream laces and 990 branded tongue. Internally, the sockliner and insole come in a similar two-tone cream and white as the rest of the upper. Back on the white heel overlay, NB branding alongside "Made In USA" text appears on a grey window. Rounding out the look is an aged cream Abzorb midsole paired with a grey rubber outsole.
The New Balance 990v2 Made In USA By Teddy Santis Sea Salt is set to release in 2022 through New Balance and select NB stockists online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $195. To stay up to date on the latest from Teddy Santis and New Balance, keep it locked to our Twitter and Mobile App for future releases.
