Having one of the biggest years in sneakers, New Balance proved to the world they have rightfully earned a place in the hearts of sneakerheads around the globe through spot-on collaborations and inline releases that flew off shelves. A part of this success has to be attributed to the Teddy Santis-helmed Made in USA that saw dozens of colorways released as a part of his Season 1 collection, though we’re still set to receive more. Teasing Season 2 of the New Balance Made in USA by Teddy Santis collection earlier in the year, detailed photos of the upcoming New Balance 990v3 MIUSA “Brown Charcoal” have made rounds across the internet.
NB’s classic 990v3 silhouette gets covered in premium pigskin suede with canvas taking over the base layer below in a combination of earth tones and darker hues. Olive hits appear on the leather overlays laid across the charcoal-shaded toebox and back along the collar while the suede overlays covering most of the sneaker come in a brown, khaki-like finish. For the lace set, Santis opts for a contrasting tan shade that matches the “N” logo along the midfoot while the tongue itself gets the classic waffle print finish in black alongside burgundy “New Balance USA” text. Retro NB text lands on the insole and “990” get stamped across the heel overlay, completing the upper while the tri-toned olive and cream midsole paired with a black rubber outsole finishes the design of the sneaker.
The New Balance 990v3 Made in USA by Teddy Santis Brown Charcoal is set to release on January 26th, 2023 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210.
