While still running his Aime Leon Dore label and collaborating with his current employer, Teddy Santis has had a smashing success with his Creative Director role under the New Balance Made in USA line. Countless premium colorways have hit the market with even more on the horizon, including the recently revealed New Balance 990v3 Made in USA by Teddy Santis "Navy Castlerock."
Classic 990v3 construction is present, though the material and build quality get elevated thanks to the Made in USA denomination. Navy suede panels land on the mudguard, midfoot, and heel while a light blue mesh takes over the underlay of the entire silhouette. Accenting grey suede panels are present as well, found on the toebox, vamp, and collar. Stark white laces run through the eyestays, up to a “New Balance USA” branded logo in red atop the tongue. Another burst of white comes via the sockliner which is accented by a navy blue insole with retro New Balance branding stamped in black. The iconic N logo gets a 3M treatment with white piping while “990” text alongside multiple NB branding details lands on the heel. Underfoot, a two-tone cream and white midsole get paired with a black and grey rubber outsole.
The New Balance 990v3 Made in USA by Teddy Santis Navy Castlerock is set to release on August 25th, 2022 through New Balance and select stockists online and in-store.
