Teddy Santis, the mastermind behind Aimé Leon Dore, has been leading the charge for New Balance’s Made in USA series since becoming the line’s creative director in 2021. So far, we’ve seen Santis bring forth a variety of 99X models, and the lineup for Grey Day 2023 includes the humble 990v4 making a comeback. Now, images have emerged for the New Balance 990v4 “White Green," part of the last round of release for Teddy Santis' New Balance Made in USA Season 3 Collection.
A strikingly clean take on the classic 990v4, the model's upper features white leather overlays paired with a white mesh base layer, creating a crisp, monochromatic look. Like many of Santis’ takes on the 99X series, faux-vintage leather panels appear and are placed on the toe box and portions of the collar. The vibrant green "N" logo stands out against the white backdrop, mirroring Made in USA branding on the tongue and the heel tab. Retro New Balance branding on the insole enhances the shoe's nostalgic appeal. The design is completed by a white, cream, and grey midsole paired with a black outsole.
The New Balance 990v4 Made in USA by Teddy Santis White Green will release September 7, 2023 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
