Renowned for his leading role at Aimé Leon Dore and as creative director of New Balance's Made in USA division, Teddy Santis has been a significant player in the sneaker landscape. His unique approach to design and storytelling has led to several highly acclaimed silhouettes encapsulating the essence of both brands. Further solidifying his creative imprint on the iconic Made in USA line, Santis is set to unveil another interpretation of the New Balance 990v4 in a “White Tan” colorway.
On the heels of the 990v4’s revival, Santis’ color palette for the Made In USA Season 3 Collection exudes refined minimalism with a hint of luxury. The upcoming rendition of the v4 contains a creamy leather upper complemented by white leather panels on the toe and midfoot, creating the perfect balance of light hues. An underlay of creamy mesh further enhances this soft-toned theme, providing a breathable base for the design. White laces starkly contrast the silver 3M reflective "N" logo and the black Made in USA branding, adding depth to the sneaker's profile. The heel showcases a nappy suede panel adorned with 990 branding, offset by a white sockliner and tan and silver leather heel tabs. Underfoot sits a tri-tone white, cream, and grey midsole. Rounding out the design is a grey outsole.
The New Balance 990v4 Made in USA by Teddy Santis White Tan will release July 27 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
