Teddy Santis' tenure as the creative director of New Balance's Made in USA division has been transformative. Since stepping into the role in 2021, Santis has curated a series of seasonal collections that have captivated sneakerheads and solidified New Balance's reputation for high-quality, domestically produced footwear. Following the reveal of Season 5 at the beginning of February, we have official images of pairs from the next drop, including the 990v4 in Macadamia Green.
The New Balance 990v4 Macadamia Green encapsulates the essence of premium craftsmanship. The sneaker features a harmonious blend of materials, including pigskin suede, mesh, and nubuck, that create a tactile and visually appealing upper. The overlays, crafted from tan pigskin suede, contrast beautifully against the cream nubuck found on the toe box, while the mesh base adopts a similar hue to the suede, creating a cohesive look. Green accents, which adorn the iconic N logo, laces, and leather 990v4-branded tongue tag, inject a subtle pop of color that complements the sneaker's neutral palette. Additionally, vintage-inspired branding on the insole adds a touch of nostalgia, while a blacked-out sole unit provides a contemporary edge and ensures durability.
The New Balance 990v4 Made in USA Macadamia Green will release on March 28, 2024, through New Balance and select retailers both online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $210. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app for the latest updates on this release and the latest happenings in sneakers and streetwear.
