2024 marks the return of a classic Made in USA model from New Balance: The New Balance 997. The first pair to hit shelves after this hiatus was a Paris-exclusive colorway launched in tandem with the Olympic Games, but other renditions like Navy, Black, and Grey have all appeared via official imagery. Before the release of Aime Leon Dore’s two-pack of 997s, images of a pair part of Teddy Santis’ Season 6 Collection have emerged.
Featuring premium materials and construction, something we’re used to seeing with the Made in USA lineup, this 997 is primarily coated in a vintage teal shade. This look is applied to the mudguard, midfoot panel, and heel overlay, while the mesh toebox, canvas tongue, N logo, and felt sockliner come in a contrasting green hue. Burgundy hues make their mark on the underlay of the vamp and around the collar, while we see a brown shade taking over the TPU panel near the midfoot. Laces, the piping around the N logo on the midfoot, and the New Balance logos on the tongue and heel take on a white finish. The cream and white foam midsole finishes the design with a black rubber outsole.
The New Balance 997 Made in USA Vintage Teal will release on November 14, 2024, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $190. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
