Numerous colorways are rolling out to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the classic New Balance 998. This revival includes new renditions like the “Grey Cream” and the tried-and-true “Black.” Just like the 990v4 that's emerged in “Black” and “Navy,” the 998 will receive the same two colorways.
The New Balance 998 Made in USA Navy follows the same construction as the aforementioned "Black" colorway by showcasing premium pigskin suede overlays, a breathable mesh base, and supple pebbled leather. Dominating the base layer and pigskin suede portions, navy shades offer an element of richness and depth. Grey pebbled leather on the vamp, tongue, and heel presents a welcome contrast to the navy blue. A silver 3M "N" logo gets white trim in its typical spot midfoot. A tan sockliner breaks up the color palette slightly, as do the cream-and-white midsole and black-and-green outsole.
The New Balance 998 Made in USA Navy will release later this year through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Offered in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210.
