What began as a collaboration between two brands eventually led to a new Creative Director being appointed for New Balance’s Made in USA line. We’re of course talking about Aime Leon Dore founder Teddy Santis. With over a year under his belt in this position, NB and Teddy have blessed the world with various premium colorways across the iconic 99X series, though they’re not stopping anytime soon. To commemorate the beginning of what NB dubs “Season 2” of their Made in USA line by Teddy Santis, we’ve already seen a three-pack of olive-shaded 99X models hit the release calendar. Now, just like when the duo first teased this year's collection, we’ve got a sneak preview of what's in store for Season 2 of the New Balance Made in USA by Teddy Santis line.
Some pairs showcased in this range of silhouettes (including the 990v1, 990v2, and 990v3) have already surfaced through leaks, like the “Green Yellow” 990v3 and “White Blue” 990v2, while a large portion is being seen for the first time. Like the first “season” of the collection, most colorways opt for earthy tones with a handful getting a vibrant, colorful makeover across the premium models.
On top of footwear, clothing will play a larger role this season with Aime Leon Dore-like design language shining through on the earth-tone overcoats, hoodies, beanies, and much more.
Take a look at some preview images down below to get a feel for what to expect from Season 2 of the New Balance Made in USA by Teddy Santis line. To begin, three 99X models and matching apparel are set to drop on October 27th, 2022 with more releases spread out over the coming months.
