Heritage New Balance designs such as the 99X series have made the Boston-based brand a household name. Although these more contemporary models are fan favorites, we’ve also seen New Balance go more experimental with sneakers like the 9060 and forthcoming Warped Runner. After making its debut as a collaboration during AURALEE's Paris Fashion Week show, the Warped Runner has now emerged in an inline colorway.
New Balance's new model has drawn comparisons to the Yeezy 700 V3 and marks a departure from the usual design language. Here, the Warped Runner utilizes multiple shades of tan, primarily through suede toe, eyestay, midfoot, and heel panels. The white mesh base sits beneath and hosts a big "N" logo stamped in black at midfoot. Underfoot sits a chunky, cream molded foam midsole incorporating New Balance's highly comfortable FuelCell cushioning technology. Completing the design is the wavy, almost organic outsole in black and tan.
The New Balance Warped Runner Tan will release in August 16, 2023 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
